So - what's the CA Council getting wrong, or not doing? Check out Council's Report to Members (below): you can make up your own mind and tell Council members at the AGM on Saturday.

You can also influence the CA's strategy over the next five years. A Strategic Plan has been drafted and will be considered by the new Council. The draft proposes that, as a priority, the CA should work to:

• Improve the image of the game and make it more visible
• Increase the number of croquet players in clubs
• Increase the number of CA Member Clubs by twenty per cent in five years
• Help Member Clubs improve the quality of their courts
• Maintain Britain's position as one of the most successful croquet-playing countries in the world
• Increase the CA's revenue so that it can achieve its objectives.

Do you agree and have you some new ideas about how we should get to grips with our problems and opportunities? Come and tell everyone at the CA's AGM to be presided over by John Solomon on Saturday 11th October at 11.00am. The venue this year is the Victory (Services) Club, 63/79 Seymour Street, London W2 2HF (near Marble Arch).
