MacRobertson Shield Team "impress" The Queen

I wrote to Her Majesty the Queen, as our Patron, to inform her of the success of the team. Her Majesty was "impressed to learn of the teams' recent achievement in Australia" and sends her warm best wishes (as Patron) to all members.

I (rather cheekily) suggested that the team should be invited to any sporting receptions planned at the Palace. The Head of the Coordination and Research Unit at Buckingham Palace has assured me that "we will certainly retain your letter on file, in case a suitable opportunity should arise to invite members of the team to an event at Buckingham Palace".

Last month, having persuaded the BBC to invite the CA to the BBC Television Personality of The Year Award, both Robert Fulford and Phil Cordingley were able to attend as VIP guests.
