Golf Croquet Selection Committee maladministration - appeal dismissed

A CA Appeal Panel comprising Quiller Barrett (Chairman), Roger Bray and Ian Vincent considered an appeal alleging maladministration by the CA's Golf Croquet Selection Committee and its Chairman relating to selection for the 2008 World Golf Croquet Championship. The Panel dismissed the appeal.

They made the following recommendations to Council:

• Council should review the policy matter at the heart of these complaints and about which strong feelings are clearly held by a number of Associates (selection criteria for Golf Croquet events).
• Council and its committees should take care to ensure that agreed policies are effectively and accurately communicated to members, including the correction of any errors whenever they become apparent.

Council plans to debate selection policy at its January 2008 meeting.
