Martin Murray and Brian Russ won the Roehampton Handicap Doubles Weekend. The highlight of the weekend was the emotional return to Roehampton of Martin and Brian a full 50 years after their first appearance there. Martin is of course a well known player, but Brian rarely plays these days. They resumed their partnership with aplomb however and were worthy and popular winners with a full house of wins. The weather was kind, the lawns were in superb condition (thanks to RC's Head Groundsman Chris Hughes), and Douglas Gurney remains an excellent Manager.
