A field of 24, half of whom had handicaps of scratch or below, competed for this seeded knockout event
After a drizzly start on Saturday the weather held fair. Lawns 1 to 3 were completely re-laid last autumn and are not in play yet. Treated moss slowed up a couple of lawns but lawns 8, 10 and 11 were reported to be the best for some time. Hard work under a new contractor is ongoing.

The event went according to seeding until the quarter finals, where Jamie Burch beat Mark Fawcett, Jose Riva beat Gabrielle Higgins, Jack Wicks beat Jaimie Mussi and Mark Avery beat Luc Berthouze.

In the semis Jose Riva beat Jamie Burch +7 otp , -23tp, +26tp and Jack Wicks beat Mark Avery + 13tpo , -5tp, +23.
Jose Riva beat Jack Wicks in the final, + 1, -26tp, +9tp. The trophy could not be presented however as Jack, winner of the Southwick Salver in 2014 had returned the wrong trophy.

The consolation event was won by Liz Farrow with Chris O'Byrne the runner-up.
