Chris Williams came from a game down to defeat Peter Taylor of Bowdon in the final. In reaching the final Chris also qualified for a CA Silver Medal after 14 years of trying. Cliff Jones finished third and Ian Lines won the consolation event.

The lawns at Budleigh have improved enormously over the last few years following the large investment that has been placed in them. Four or five of the ten lawns are now in excellent condition and hopefully the remainder will be improved as well in the next few years.
