28th May (AC - Championships)

They started the last round on 8 wins, with nearest rivals Middlesex and Surrey on 7 wins each. Nottinghamshire's first two game wins in the last round meant the trophy was theirs, although the third game win took a little longer to complete. The Division 1 presentation was held indoors, while the last two matches involving Division 2 leaders Oxfordshire and Dorset continued in the rain.

Oxfordshire finally won their last Division 2 match against Yorkshire to complete a clean sweep of 10 wins, having beaten Dorset in the penultimate round. They only lost four games in the whole tournament.

At the bottom of Division 1, Sussex, Suffolk and Glamorgan were relegated and will play in Division 2 in 2026.

Oxfordshire, Dorset and Cheshire are promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 for next year. Cheshire and Warwickshire both had the same number of match and game wins, but Cheshire was the winner in the match between them.

Many thanks to Sussex County and Compton Croquet Clubs for hosting the tournament once again, and to all the volunteers for their hard work.

Thanks also to Simon Hathrell and David Maugham for the provision of a new plinth and box for the Division 1 trophy.
