The Players

On 2 good quality lawns with firm hoops and an entry of 10, David Maugham managed to keep everyone happy enough with fairly short time outs. The weather was superb as usual but with a sudden thunderstorm on Sunday morning - Jenny Williams apparently oblivious of the thunder, lightning and rain came off absolutely soaking wet and still smiled for us! There was an amusing situation when Chris Van Essen pegged out - David Appleton also simultaneously pegged out (his wet shirt)!!
Sheila Watts produced the usual high quality lunches & teas to complete an altogether friendly and well run tournament.
